I always want to be working on something, so as soon as one is finished, another is begun. This design has been popular so didn't have to think much about the design, however it's the colours that take me time to decide on. I've already changed the petals from orange to a blue/green stained glass....
The month gone by since last posting in my gratitude diary has been an emotional one, settling back into life without Nita. I finished the mosaic for Nita's sister, and shipped it off yesterday afternoon and have been really down in the dumps and teary today, missing who and what I don't have. So I... Continue Reading →
I've been asked by a friend's daughter to make a simple mosaic - a pineapple with a white background on a circular backing. I've used white iridised tiles around the border, venetian glass tiles for the background, glass gems for the border of the pineapple, and stained glass to fill in the pineapple and to... I've been asked by Nita's sister, Kayla, to make a mosaic for her, similar to 'Nita's Garden' that I made in her memory for myself. The only specifications are that it be in light blues (their favourite colour), and has her nickname on it. I finally found another outlet to buy the bases in the... Continue Reading →

I've never thought of myself as having an artistic bone in my body, so what the hell am I doing throwing myself into any kind of art form?! And why mosaics?
