The concept of an infinite universe is truly terrifying. An everlasting stretch of continuous nothingness, destined to develop into a new string of solar systems that humanity will never reach.
In the span of an average life, the universe will have evolved by a thousand times in size with uncountable new creations. The simple idea of exoplanets holding life we are yet to encounter converting into a definite fact.
Everything around us is changing and growing and we are ignorant towards it. While cities sleep, new stars are forming, supernovas are taking place and the galaxy is growing. We are only aware of what we are told, remaining only informed of what the media deems fascinating enough to share.
Humanity has travelled to the moon, interacted with Mars and attempted contact with what we hope are extraterrestrial beings. However, no matter how much we study, we will never truly know everything about the universe that holds our planet. Never truly know whether the galaxies halt, or whether they go on forever.
In a human life the universe reaches new feats, but reaches many more after it ends.
